ABOU THE UNIVERSITY
 
Czech University of Life Sciences Prague celebrated 100 years anniversary in 2006. The history of the University started by opening a College of Agricultural Sciences at Czech Technical University(CTU) in 1906.
Post WWI reforms in education system in Czechoslovakia led to changes in the CUT structure. The College of Agricultural was restructured to become the College of Agriculture and Forestry Engineering at CTU in 1920. On 8th July 1952 the statutory order (Socialist Government Decree) established separated Czech University of Life Sciences Prague from the present College.
In the first half of the 1960's the entire University moved into newly built campus at Suchdol in the Prague outskirts. We should note that the campus is still under construction and that the original purpose to establish a respectable education centre for few thousands student had been generous from the very beginning.
The University of Agriculture in Prague was renamed the Czech University of Agriculture in Prague in accordance with government act 192/1994 Collection on 1st January 1995.
 
 
 
PROBLEM
 
VThe University doesn't have Facility Management (FM)system. This is a reason why the University can't effectively managed processes which are related to the support of main University activity, education and research. This includes mainly monitoring of buildings maintenance, energy consumption, green space maintenance, reservation systems, constructions safety, and so on. With regards to non existence of unified register of buildings pasport it is not possible to implement FM system. Because of this problem the University decided to purchase GTFacility system and suggested stages for the system implementation.

Stage (2004 - 2005)
- implementation of the Module Pasport
- digitizing and buildings pasport in Suchdol campus (faculties, accommodation, rector's office, information centre)

Stage (2006)
- implementation of the Module Maintenance
- implementation of the Module Energy
- implementation of the Module Green Space
- interconnection of the GTFacility system with the economy system Magion
- digitizing of maps of Suchdol campus
- completing digitizing of buildings (garages, warehouses, supportive areas)

Stage (2007 and onwards)
- pasport and digitizing of green space (dedicated also for education process)
- implementation of the Module Hardware
- implementation of other modules for monitoring other processes and expenses related to the buildings (constructions)
 
Solution
After completion of implementation Module Pasport a preparation to realise the first stage of digitizing buildings in Suchdol campus had started. ASP, Inc. signed the contract for sub-supply of works - polarisation and digitizing of buildings with the company Indess, Ltd. The result of this contract is that main buildings in the campus (faculties, accommodation, rector's office, information centre) are processed into complete digital form. The documentation contents all structural elements. All remaining objects (garages, warehouses, supportive areas) will be digitized partially(creating only a layer Area). Also up-to-date rooms code list will be created.
In preparation is also digitizing of maps Suchdol campus that will be connected with the building documentation and will include also plots of utility infrastructure, park spaces, roads, pavements, ortofoto layer and also green space in the future.
In June 2006 we implemented the Modules Maintenance and Module Energy which represents an important component of the system in the area of energy consumption monitoring and constructions energy load.

ABOUT THE COMPANY
 
The history of technical education system in Bohemia is at the same time the history of ČVUT Prague
and it has lasted nearly 300 years.
After year 1960 ČVUT Prague had 4 faculties: Faculty of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and today's Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering. In 1976 Faculty of Architecture has been established as the fifth faculty. Since 1993 when Faculty of Transportation Sciences was established ČVUT Prague has 6 faculties and workplaces and purpose facilities with all university scope - like Masaryk higher studies institution, Klokner institution, Computer and Information centre, Business and innovation centre, Management of purpose facilities, Publishing ČVUT Prague and today's Institution of Biomedicine Engineering. The field workplace of Faculty of Transportation and Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering has been opened in Decin in 1995. There have been founded Research Centre of Industrial Heritage and Institution of technical and experimental Physics ČVUT Prague in 2002. In 2003 Centre for Radiochemistry and Nuclear Chemistry has been established .
 
 
PROBLEM
 
ČVUT has central assets register only in the system FIS. That's why the unified register of buildings pasport is not monitored. The buildings documentation are in the paper form stored in the archives. Every part (department) of ČVUT has own rooms marking and that's why it doesn't exist a unified identification of rooms in ČVUT. There is no interconnection between economy system and buildings pasport.
 
Solution
ASP supplied GTFacility system to ČVUT that serves to the building documentation monitoring and to implementing of a unified areas register based on agreed number sequence for the rooms identification. The interconnection of data with so called "Vymenik"(Interchange) to ensure the interchange of rooms code lists data with other IS ČVUT components has been implemented in 2006. Buildings, levels and rooms pasports have been gradually filled into GTFacility system. The registers are divided into 16 parts (rector's office, faculties, other subjects). The digitizing of 100 building has been done till 2005.

ABOUT THE COMPANY
 
Brno University of Technology is the oldest University in Brno.VUT is second largest University in Brno and third largest in all Czech Republic with its nearly 15,000 students. VUT has currently 8 faculties. Traditional study subjects at VUT with nearly 100 years history are: Faculty of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication, Faculty of Architecture. These faculties have been changed and new ones added in the recent years. Thanks to the establishment of Faculty of Business and Management, Faculty of Fine Art, Faculty of Chemistry and on 1/1/2002 Faculty of Information Technology a range of subjects has been extended and The University covers now as the only one in the Czech Republic all spectrum of technical science: Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Chemistry, Informatics, Business And Management, Design.
 
PROBLEM
 
The rector's office needed a system for the registration of buildings pasport and schematic plots areas with the notification of rooms numbers. The VUT assets is classified into regions, areas, faculties units and centres units. The rooms are characterised by submission and purpose. There are CAD plots ground-plans of the objects available for VUT. VUT needs to have a graphic editor in order to actualise the ground-plans. This editor will be served by VUT employees.
 
Solution
In the instalment packet of GTFacility system has been included also GTCAD graphic editor for editing of CAD documentation. The structure of Module Buildings has been amended and data have been imported into GTFacility system from the original system. CAD documentation was interconnected with buildings pasport.

ABOUT THE COMPANY
 
ČEZ Property Management Ltd, is a succession company established from ČEZ departments and from distributors of electric energy in the area of the management of non-energy assets of ČEZ Group, Inc.. The changes in ČEZ, Inc. structure and subsequent development of GTFacility brings long-term cooperation ASP, Inc. and Severočeska energetika, Inc. After organisational changes in ČEZ, Inc. the company ČEZData, Ltd took over managing GTFacility system. Severočeska energetika, Inc. remains still the user of GTFacility system.
Management of the company ČEZ Property Management, Ltd showed interest in using the system GTFacility in their company too. That's why current GTFacility used in Severočeska energetika, Inc has been presented also with other modules Maintenance, Car pools and Orders.
 

PROBLEM
 
ČEZ Property Management, Ltd looking for the solution how to effectively managed ČEZ assets. The first area where to find the solution was Car pool. It has been agreed that a trial use of Car pool Module will be on own cars ČEZ Property Management, Ltd and then the system could be used for car pool of entire ČEZ, Inc.

Solution
The module Car Pool has been implemented. This module files cars, events related to the cars like regular maintenance, MOT and cards used for monthly statements of allowed used of company's cars for personal use by employees, and also allows:

bodappointing cars to the employees long and short-term
bodappointing cars to the employees based on their area localisation in pasport
